What is CV?

CV stands for Curriculum Vitae. It is a document containing all the details about the person who is applying for job like education, personal details, experience, contact info, Nationality etc. This document is used when you are applying for job in company. CV is different for different jobs.


We can say that, CV tell employer that you are qualified and suitable for this job.


How to write CV..?

If you want to work as an electrician in a company. You will need to create a document containing general details about yourself. These are some of the things that should be in a CV.

  • You are experienced.
  • Education.
  • Talent. (Additional)

Personal Information:

First you have to enter your personal details. These details are name, father's name, CNIC, email, phone number, country and address.

Note: Write your personal details in sequence.

CV’s Objective:

This second very important step is where many people make mistakes. Be Careful about it. Choose catchy words in this step. Tell your employer about the purpose of your curriculum vitae. Tell him what you want from him...?.

Tell your employer how much experience you have in the job you want to do. Make sure to tell him the truth. Make a stats of your experience. For example: Write more experience first and less experience at the end. (Descending order)

Include your work title, the firm name, the period of time you worked there, and your main responsibilities. This part should come before education if you have a huge amount of relevant work experience.

Education:

Tell your employer about your entire study career. This includes diplomas, courses, degrees, results and the place where you did it. Include all relevant education and qualifications, including date, in the list. The most recent must come first. Include the dates, qualification type, and grades. Mention particular modules just when needed.

In this section you will be going to tell your employer about your skills, talents and achievements. Write it in a great wording and make sure to choose top keywords. Employers are continually looking applicants with a good set of professional skills that are relevant to the position they are looking for. In this a great wording will impress them.

Format of CV:

Name:

Your top Heading/Title will be your name. Do not use the waste title of CV or Curriculum vitae. It is totally the waste of extra page space.

Do not use font styles:

Using stylish fonts like San Serif is totally waste of time, avoid using them.

Order of CV:

List all your details in descending order. For example: Your best skills first and good skill after it.

Headings:

Highlight every section of your CV with headings. It is a great way to break your CV into parts.

Use less spacing:

Extra spacing between effects bad on your CV. It will also changes the employer name.
