How to submit your sitemap to Google Search Console.?
What is Google Search Console.
Before we submit a sitemap to Google Search Console we should know what Google Search Console is and why it is used. Basically Google Search Console is a service provided by Google. It is used to index our posts and pages in google search's. In fact is tells google search engine that you have also written a content / post. It index your posts when you will submit your sitemap. When your contents are indexed in google search then you can easily find them on Google by searching its URL. It is very easy to use.
It will take some time for indexing your contents and pages.
What is sitemap?
Sitemap tells Google which articles and posts you think are important to your site, and also provides valuable data about those files. For example, you wrote and submitted a post. Now when you write a new post again, you have to submit a sitemap of your site or blog in order to submit it as well.
There are two types of sitemap. One is HTML sitemap and 2nd is XML sitemap. Examples are given bellow:
- https://Example.domain/sitemap.xml
- https://Example.domain/sitemap.html
How to generate sitemap?
Sitemap must be generated before you submit it in search console. It is also very easy all you have to is:
Open Google Chrome or any browser.
Search for ( Sitemap generator tool ). There were many tools there but you have to choose the first one.
Then copy your website's URL and paste to the tools box. It will generate you a sitemap. After generating you have to copy the generated sitemap (coding) and paste it to your blog / Wordpress seo settings.
Now go to the google search console or follow the steps given bellow.
First of all you have to generate your sitemap. However if you don't know how to then follow the link given above.
Now Open google search console.
Make sure you are already signed in to the Google Search Console.
Then Click Start Now.
By clicking Start Now you get to the Google search console overview.
But you have to Click On Sitemaps.
Now open Your blog.
.
Click on view blog.
By clicking on View Blog you will be redirected to a new tab. In Google Chrome Search Bar write /sitemap.xml after your blog domain as shown in picture below.
Now Go to Google search console Tab.
Write sitemap.xml in the given space. And then click Submit...
It may take few minutes or seconds and your sitemap will be submitted..
Now press Got it And your sitemap will be submitted in google search console successfully.
